Enhancing Quality of Life with Citywide Parks and Green Open Spaces

Citywide parks and green open spaces are vital for enhancing the quality of life, offering residents accessible and beautiful places for recreation and relaxation, thereby contributing to a healthier urban environment.

Undergrounding Utility Lines

By undergrounding utility lines, our city not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also increases safety and resilience against power outages, making our infrastructure more reliable.

Ensuring Public Safety

Adding additional police officers to our force is a commitment to ensuring public safety, aiming to reduce crime and enhance community trust and security.

Keeping the City Beautiful: Downtown Cleanup Efforts

Focused downtown cleanup efforts are essential to maintaining our city's beauty and appeal, encouraging tourism, and instilling pride among residents.

Transparency and Accountability

Commitment to transparency and accountability ensures that city operations are conducted in an open and ethical manner, fostering trust and engagement among citizens.

Environmental Responsibility

Our city leads in environmental responsibility, from recycling initiatives to having the largest EV fleet, and waiving solar permit fees for residents, highlighting our dedication to sustainable development.

Transportation and Pedestrian Safety and Accessibility

Expanding trolley services to include weekends and implementing traffic calming measures exemplify our dedication to enhancing transportation and pedestrian safety and accessibility.

Development Impact Fees

Development impact fees are strategically used to acquire and enhance parks and green spaces, directly investing in the quality and sustainability of our urban environment.

Reducing Speed Limit to 25 mph on City Streets

Reducing the speed limit to 25 mph citywide is a strategic move to improve road safety for all users, making our streets safer for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike.

Cultural Grants for Consulates

Mayor Lago implemented a cultural grant designed to enrich our community's cultural landscape. This grant offers up to five Consulates in the City of Coral Gables the opportunity to receive up to $20,000 in funding to support world-class cultural events aimed at educating our community about diverse cultures and fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of our global heritage. To date, these grants have helped support:
